Crusoe Hotel Hotel Description The Crusoe Hotel is a small cosy hotel at the picturesque harbour of Lower Largo. Originally the building was an old grain store and many of the features have been retained to offer a unique setting. The name Crusoe originates from the title of the book Robinson Crusoe. The author Daniel Defoe based his story on the adventures of Alexander Selkirk who was born in Lower Largo Fife. In 1995 we opened the Selkirk exhibition room depicting the life of Alexander Selkirk. The easy and homely ambience as well as the good kitchen of the hotel are good reasons for you to choose Lower Largo for a break away from everyday hustle and bustle.
