Opened in Sep. 2002 the hotel occupied one floor of a 1924 building on a busy street. Australian songbirds welcome you to the lobby, and serene blue hallways lead to high ceiling rooms with painted armoires and color-coordinated with the sheets. Everything in the sunny place is nicely up-to-date; firm mattresses, air conditioning in every room, well-conceived bathrooms. Check in and you will be among the first to stay at a hotel that's earning a serious following.
